About the Book
A Detailed Explanation of Yijing offers a systematic, word-by-word reinterpretation of the I Ching. Rather than treating individual words, line statements, or hexagrams in isolation, the book reconstructs the larger structure that connects them across all sixty-four hexagrams.
Text
Return to the earliest available evidence: pre-Qin texts, oracle bone inscriptions, early character forms, and excavated manuscripts.
Structure
Read the text and the hexagram together. The six line statements form a progression, and the structure of the hexagram provides evidence for interpreting the text.
System
Look beyond individual hexagrams for recurring patterns. An interpretation remains coherent across the larger system of all sixty-four hexagrams.
